Home Buyer Education

KNHS Homebuyer education classes are offered in the KNHS office at 1219 S. Park Street in Kalamazoo, and on Zoom. When completed, it can result in your:

  • qualification for mortgage programs
  • understanding credit and creating a plan for improving your own
  • avoiding potential mistakes and home buying pitfalls
  • Learning about the purchase process

Loan eligibility is determined by household income limits and meeting funder and underwriting requirements. Rates are set monthly.

KNHS’ Financial Readiness class is a workshop designed to help our customers create a positive outlook and productive relationship with their finances. You will be able to work one-on-one with a coach to develop tools that will make your homeownership journey manageable and easy for you to understand.

KNHS partners with eHome America, the Nation’s premiere online homebuyer education provider, to give you online homebuyer education.  This online service can help you qualify for home loans from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through USDA Rural Development.
